BRIGHT balloons, happy faces and crazy costumes will be in a procession tomorrow as people of all ages and ability take part in the Little Haven Palliative Care Gratitude Walk.

Sponsored by Heritage Bank, the walk begins at 10.30am at the Gympie Showgrounds and follows a 5km path into town and back again, with a sausage sizzle for all participants at the finish line.

Registration is from 9.30am at a cost of $5 per participant. Walkers can also collect sponsors and hand in any money raised on registration in a chance to win one of the top fundraising prizes. The best junior fundraiser will be awarded a chocolate hamper. Those wearing a costume can go in the draw to win a double-movie pass prize for the best costume.

It's the second year the walk has been held and Little Haven Palliative Care president Brandy Murley is looking forward to a large turn out to support an organisation which has such a great impact on the community.

"The Gratitude Walk raises awareness for the important work that Little Haven contribute to the community," Mrs Murley said. …
