APPRENTICE Alexandra Wrigley got far more than a job when she turned to Intraining to complete an apprenticeship.

She gained confidence, skills and fresh ambition following five months of unemployment that had seen her spirits plummet.

Alexandra, 19, of Whitley Bay, Newcastle, is just one of many success stories for the Intraining team in the North East.

It has placed 216 young people aged 16-18 with companies suited to their skills and potential in the past year, as well as 138 people aged over 19.

When Alexandra was introduced to the training provider by a friend she was losing hope of ever finding a job.

But Intraining Learner Engagement Consultant Jonathan Smith spotted her potential and encouraged her to apply for a post as apprentice receptionist with the Priory Medical Group.

Now she's hoping to get taken on permanently, is completing a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration - and has a new-found ambition to become to be a senior receptionist, doctor's secretary or a practice manager. …
