Thai Surrogate Mother: I Want Twin Sister Back

THE Thai surrogate mother of a baby boy with Down's syndrome today demanded that his twin sister be returned to her after reports emerged that the children's Australian biological father is a convicted paedophile.

Pattharamon Chanbua, 21, declared "I want my baby girl back" after reports claimed the father had been jailed for molesting two girls aged under 10.

The surrogacy case caused controversy around the world when Ms Pattharamon, who was paid by the couple to have the twins, claimed they abandoned their son Gammy after learning he had Down's syndrome, taking only his sister.

Now police have called in child protection services to look at the suitability of the couple. The father, who has three grown-up children, is a wellknown electrician in the town of Bunbury in Western Australia.

Local media have reported that in the late Nineties he was given a three-year jail term, with parole, for sexually molesting two girls under 10. …
