Family Believes Father Died of Stroke before Fatal Bike Crash

THE SON of Morayfield man Rodney Lunt said the family did not blame anybody for the tragic events that saw his father pass away on Friday afternoon.

Mr Lunt's son, Rodney Jnr, said the family took some comfort from the fact their father had died doing something he loved.

Mr Lunt Snr, a passionate ballroom dancer who loved his "big, bright, colourful shirts", had been riding his motorbike on Friday, when he was involved in a crash at the intersection of Buchanan and Graham Rds.

He hit a roundabout and was separated from his bike, which eventually came to rest after hitting a truck at the roundabout.

Mr Lunt Jnr said despite the initial reports, he believed his father had died of a stroke before the crash.

"It looks like he's had a stroke and he was dead at the wheel," Mr Lunt Jnr said.

"The coroner's report's not back yet but we believe there was a pre-incident.

"There's no blame, there's no anger. We just want to make it clear that there was no vehicle at fault. …
