Victorious Force Wants It All; with the Premiership Secured, Kawana Coach Says Job's Only Half Done

FOOTBALL: After watching his team secure the regular-season premiership on Tuesday night, Kawana Force coach Ian Runcie says the side "wants the lot" and will press hard for grand final spoils.

Kawana beat Coolum 3-1 to sew up its first premiership since 2006, after a campaign that has yielded 11 wins, four draws and just two losses.

The Birtinya-based outfit also won the Johnny Warren Cup.

But Runcie has been open about his side's desire to win the grand final and claim the club's first premiership-championship double in eight years.

"We want the lot," he said. "It would be great to do the double."

Some clubs say they would prefer to win the grand final rather than taking out the regular-season premiership.

Not Runcie.

"I read some articles the other day and some coaches said they'd prefer to win the grand final," he said.

"I'd rather the premiership because to get it you've got to turn up (to training) every Tuesday and Thursday and go out and perform week in and week out. …
