MY DARK secret (which is actually quite pretty in pastel shades) is that I am a closet lover of chintz. My home may be a shrine to all things pale and interesting, but underneath the stylish trappings of modern womanhood is a girl with a soft-focus and a Doris Day heart.

In the new era, it's literally brilliant and fresh.

Just throw in wooden accessories to stop it feeling too clinical.
