A WARWICK man has been charged after he was allegedly caught masturbating in his car on Monday evening.

Warwick police acting officer in charge Shane Reid said police were called to Helene St just before 8pm by a concerned resident.

Officers responded immediately and say they found a 51-year-old man with a mobile phone and performing a sex act.

He was charged with committing an indecent act in public and will appear in court at a later date.

In other police news, investigations are continuing into a blaze that destroyed a rural shed overnight on Sunday.

Acting Senior Sergeant Reid said hay and machinery were set on fire and damage was significant.

Initial investigations indicate someone may have been at the Washpool Rd property unlawfully at the time the fire broke out. Investigations are continuing. Drug offenders continue to be targeted across the Rose City, with three Warwick men charged with offences.

Last Wednesday police searched a Pratten St property and uncovered marijuana plants and seeds and smoking utensils. …
