Brentford Moses Odubajo believes his best is yet to come for Brentford. The club-record signing has impressed since joining from Leyton Orient over the summer but the winger feels he is still improving under Mark Warburton. "I am only going to get better as the games go on and I learn more," he said. "In the matches coming up, I hope I can use my ability to create chances for the team to help us win the game." Brentford host Brighton on Saturday and are looking for their first home victory of the season.

Charlton Johann Berg Gudmundsson is an injury doubt for Saturday's game against Watford. The midfielder missed Iceland's 3-0 win over Turkey last night and will be assessed when he returns from the international break. Gudmundsson, 23, has impressed since joining on a free transfer from AZ Alkmaar and has helped Charlton make a strong start to the season. Simon Church has found opportunities limited under Bob Peeters but the forward played for Wales last night. Church started up front alongside Gareth Bale as Chris Coleman's side beat Andorra 2-1 in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier.

Fulham Matt Smith gives Felix Magath the option of playing a different way, according to former Fulham midfielder Sean Davis. Smith moved to Craven Cottage from Leeds on deadline day and Davis said: "He is a big lad and that is something different that he can add to the team. A lot of times this season we get the ball wide and there is hardly anyone in the box so we tend to go back and then play across, so with Matt in there hopefully we can get some balls in the air to him. He can knock balls down and that is something we have needed."

Watford Scotland manager Gordon Strachan is surprised Ikechi Anya has not been snapped up by a Premier League club. The winger scored a brilliant goal against world champions Germany on Sunday and Strachan said: "The coaching staff scratch our heads at times and wonder why he is not playing in the English Premier League. …
