Hardaker Wants His Future Sorted out; RUGBY LEAGUE

LEEDS full-back Zak Hardaker has called for an end to the uncertainty over his immediate future for the sake of his family.

The 22-year-old England international, who was yesterday named at full-back in the 2014 Super League Dream Team, is being investigated for an alleged homophobic comment during a match against St Helens.

Hardaker, who served a fivematch ban in the summer after being found guilty of directing homophobic comments at referee James Child, has yet to be notified if he faces another charge - 17 days after the offence is alleged to have taken place.

If Hardaker (below) is charged and found guilty, he could be given as much as an eight-match ban, which would rule him of England's Four Nations campaign.

Leeds have stood by their player, accusing the Rugby Football League of a "witchhunt" in their pursuit of the case, and Hardaker says the whole episode is having a detrimental affect on his family.
