Following Tuesday's victory over Cardiff City, Boro have climbed to ninth place in the Championship table and appear to be on an upward course. The Teessiders were 7/1 at the start of the season to secure promotion to the Premier League and have now seen their odds drop to 3/1. We now make them a 14/1 chance to win the Championship outright from a previous mark of 22/1. Eleventh-placed Brentford visit The Riverside today for a 3pm kick-off. The Bees will certainly be no pushovers, having won both of their previous two Championship away fixtures; however we make them 10/3 outsiders today, with the draw available at 5/2 and Boro odds-on favourites at 8/11, although the home side can be supported at odds of 11/4 to win if both teams score a goal in the match.

Although Boro themselves have won their last three away games, they have lost their last two league games on Teesside, therefore Aitor Karanka's side may need to adopt a more positive approach when at the Riverside Stadium if they are to justify such favouritism. …
