DON'T be surprised if you see this dynamic duo standing out in the crowd at tomorrow's NRL grand final.

For Coffs Harbour's most devoted mother-and-son South Sydney supporters, Pam and Craig McTear, being at ANZ Stadium is a dream come true.

"I'm so excited, like a kid waiting for Santa at Christmas," Pam said.

"I haven't slept all week at the prospect of cheering on my Bunnies."

Just like her beloved team, Pam's return to a Sydney grand final has been a long time coming.

In 1971 she and her late husband Joe were at the SCG to see Souths beat St George.

"Craig was only three months old so we left him with an auntie for the day. I can't wait to share tomorrow's victory with him just like I did with his dad."

Grafton-born Pam has been a rusted-on Souths supporter since she moved to Sydney for work at the age of 16.

"My dad followed Souths and when I met Joe, who was raised at Redfern, and I found out he was also a Souths fan, the deal was done. …
