MOST people in Gladstone probably don't know who Peyton Manning is.

I would describe him as the best sportsman I have ever seen in knowing how his sport works, and using that to win.

Manning is a quarterback for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League, one of America's elite sports.

This morning, Manning is likely to break Brett Favre's record for most touchdowns thrown in NFL history, a massive milestone many thought may not fall for... perhaps ever.

The amazing thing is that Manning has never been what you would describe as the best athlete in the game.

He is not as quick as many of his rivals.

He does not have the arm strength many quarterbacks have.

He had surgery a few seasons back on his neck which nearly made him unable to play again.

But the superstar makes up for his lack of pure athleticism in many ways.

Every way he possibly can.

At 38-years-old, the quarterback somehow is still motivated, as he has been for his entire career, to turn up day after day and work with every player on the team to be better, to know plays and to know how to work with everyone's personality. …
