Absentees Force Major Reshuffle

FOR the past four weeks, Angela Rohdmann has been wearing two hats at her beloved Western Suburbs Softball Club.

Not only has she been performing her regular job as coach of the men's team but has also been pulling double duties as both player and coach of the women's A-grade side.

Rohdmann said she was happy to relinquish her second coaching job as of last week when Wests B-Grade women's coach Nathan Bacon took the reins.

"I started doing that (coaching the women's team) in pre-season," she said.

"I'm very glad to see Nathan do it."

Rohdmann said a lot of female players from last year's squad had not come back due to pregnancy, relocating or commitments to university studies which had led to no wins in the opening rounds.

"The women haven't been doing very well because we have a very new team," she said. "We just need to be patient and build that report with each other."

Rohdmann said despite the heavy losses morale was high. …
