Cutting Machine on Craft Club's Wish List

THESE ladies are calling on readers to help them keep their creative juices flowing.

The members of Balkwell Craft Group, part of Balkwell Community Welfare Association, have signed up to Wish to try and fund new equipment.

The group meets once a week at Balkwell Community Hall, also known as "The Hut", on Heaton Terrace in North Shields, North Tyneside.

The hall is a public resource that was set up over 60 years ago for the benefit of the local community and is used by many organisations, including Balkwell Craft Group.

Joan Cutts, from the group, said: "Our club meets on Monday afternoons for two hours and at the moment we have 14 ladies who attend.

"All abilities and ages are very welcome and we would welcome any new faces.

"With any money we receive through Wish we would be able to buy more dies and embossing folders for our cutting machine.

"We could also do with another paper trimmer and it would be great to be able to have a bigger cutting machine for members to use. …
