FULHAM 2 BLACKPOOL 2 SHAHID KHAN claims he has given Fulham supporters their club back by sacking Felix Magath and appointing Kit Symons.

Khan was at Craven Cottage to see Fulham draw with Blackpool last night and the owner claims he has never felt more optimistic about the club's future. The American says Symons has restored a sense of "belief, family and pride" that was missing under Magath.

"Everything we experienced is now in the past," said the owner. "Managerial changes happen but what I sensed from fans was something more important than changing personnel. They wanted their club back. I feel Fulham is back.

"I feel as upbeat about our future today as at any time since becoming chairman and much of that is due to Kit's excellent work. He had impressive results [as caretaker manager] but he also restored what we were missing -- the sense of belief, family and pride that were the very hallmarks of Fulham that attracted me to the club. …
