FROM THE 14th October to 10th November Year 5 and 6 had visitors called Time Bandits, who came in every Wednesday. They learned separately about World War 1, they learned about Thomas Gordon, Koko the Warhorse and a bit more.

After two weeks the Time Bandits organized a performance, three acts were made with parts to fill in. The first one was about Koko the Warhorse, then a Polish one and one for Albert Proud. The children were fascinated to find out that Albert had a finger blown off and it was replaced by a toe.

About a week ago the Newcastle Music Service came in to have a session with Year 5 and 6, to learn about messenger pigeons. They mainly learned about Bertie Blue the famous pigeon and we sang the song Bertie blue.

After the song the service organized a short drama to do on the spot about the story of Bertie Blue. …
