Stockton without Star Strikers but Can Still Sink Rangers

STOCKTON Town manager Michael Dunwell has selection issues up front to resolve tomorrow as the Wearside League leaders get set to face Gateshead Leam Rangers at home.

Stockton's cushion at the top has been cut to two points by Horden CW, but the big picture is still bright as they have six games in hand on their closest pursuers.

Of more pressing concern to Dunwell tomorrow is the fact that he will be without first choice strikers Kallum Hannah and Chris Stockton, who have scored 47 goals between them but are now starting suspensions.

The silver lining for Dunwell is that he has plenty of options as he can pick between himself, Luke Whittaker, Joe Hinchley, Carlton McCabe, Matthew Garbutt and Scott Meehan to replace the banned pair.

And Stockton should have more than enough firepower to dispose of the visitors whoever gets the nod in attack, as Leam Rangers have lost their last six games and failed to score in their last three.

Tomorrow will also see Stockton discover who they will visit in the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup semi-finals as they will play the winners of Wolviston's trip to Richmond Town. …
