WHILE the likes of Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa have stolen the headlines, Newcastle's Papiss Cisse is actually the most in-form Premier League striker over the last six games.

Opta stats show that Cisse averages a goal every 74 minutes in his appearances since November 1. Aguero on the other hand, receiving plenty of plaudits before his early injury against Everton on on E Saturday, only averages a goal every 87 minutes.

United's Senegal striker has had a hit and miss season so far due to injuries but still leads the club's goalscoring charts with seven goals this term.

Since November 1 he has played in five of the Magpies' six games, accumulating a total of 221 minutes on the pitch in that period.

His goal against Burnley was then followed up by a brace in Alan Pardew's side's incredible 2-1 victory over league leaders Chelsea; those three goals make him the Premier League's in-form striker.

After Cisse and City's Aguero the closest to come near them is Steven Jovetic, also of the Citizens, who averages a goal every 126 minutes, meaning the Magpies' number nine is some way out in front of the form charts. …
