CITY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING SET FOR NOV. 29

The city's annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is ready to light up downtown Fernandina Beach from noon-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, in Parking Lot A at Centre and Front Street next to Brett's Waterway Caf. The event includes a parade, family events and the tree lighting after dark.

BROOKS REHABILITATION EXPANDING IN CLAY COUNTY

BOOK TALK CAFE

Michael Wiley, Jacksonville mystery author, will talk about his new suspense-thriller "Blue Avenue" at Ponte Vedra Library's Book Talk Cafe, 6:30 p.m. on Monday at 101 Library Blvd. The event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served. Wiley is the author of the award-winning Joe Kozmarski hard-boiled detective mystery series, including "The Last Striptease," which won a Private Eye Writers of America/St. Martin's Press prize for best first novel.
