SONGS with meaning, sung with passion and performed with emotion -- Isaac Paddon and The Tides' raw organic folk rock is a smooth taste of the Caribbean.

Heavily influenced by artists like Neil Young, Bob Marley and the Wailers, The Beatles, Jeff Buckley and Bob Dylan, the diversity of the outfit's musical tastes shines through in their creations.

Paddon is no stranger to live audiences and big stages both as a solo artist and with The Tides.

A talented surfer, he has appeared in a number of surf films and lifestyle and sports television programs including Sydney Weekender. He has also has played more than 60 different stages since he and The Tides surged onto the live roots music scene in 2003.

Paddon, on vocals, guitars and harmonica, joined with Jesse Carroll (drums, percussion), Daniel Aurora (bass guitar and lap steel) and Dale Norton (trumpet) almost a decade ago.

After impressing an audience of more than 2000 at the Big Day Out at the Gold Coast in 2005, the outfit has captivated capacity crowds on the backroom stage in Byron Bay's Great Northern Hotel, at Bluesfest and at Splendour in the Grass weekends and wooed capacity crowds at Yamba's Pacific Hotel. …
