I AM getting very tired of seeing millions of taxpayer dollars going down the drain in TV advertising trying to convince us that it was our decision to lease assets as opposed to selling them.

I think it is a con because leasing or selling is still privatising.

After privatising is the service going to be better or does our power become cheaper? I don't think so.

Campbell Newman is telling us that we will be around $250 better off in the first year if we allow him to lease the assets.

What happens after that? We have absolutely no control over our assets. As the owners of the assets we demand to know exactly what the terms and conditions of these leases will be.

What period of time will it be? I heard that it could be between 50 and 99 years.

If it is 99 years none of us will be alive to see it returned.

How many jobs will be lost, if any, with possible cut backs?

What will happen with our Solar credits?

Will we be getting any ongoing royalties or will the maintenance be outsourced to foreign companies or will we still have the same Australian contactors to do our maintenance? …
