FOOTBALL: The Warwick Wolves are set to recieve a huge boost for 2015, with the additions of two former National Premier Leagues Queensland players.

Matt Carey said yesterday he would return to the Wolves for 2015, while it is understood Mark Ferdinand and Matt Elford are possibilities to join the Wolves too.

Carey and Ferdinand both played for the South-West Thunder in the National Premier Leagues Queensland last season, along with a third Warwick player, Mitch Siebenhausen.

The trio would be a huge boost for the Wolves, who finished second behind Stanthorpe United on last season's table, only to be knocked out of the finals in straight sets by United and then Ballandean.

Carey, who last played for the Wolves when he was in the Colts and Men's side in 2011, said he was looking forward to playing in Warwick again.

"The National Premier Leagues was a really good competition," Carey said.

"I knew it would be tough to play in the NPL and it was a very good experience," Carey said. …
