I HAVE nothing against Alan Shearer. He is my favourite ever Toon player and quite rightly a legend.

However, ex-players etc often state the obvious and/or what we already know.

I appreciate that he will have more insight than most having worked for Ashley, but we as fans are limited to moaning in the pub after the match or 140 characters' worth of ranting on Twitter.

Mike Ashley may be a successful businessman, but he clearly hasn't got a clue about football in general and Newcastle United in particular.

I can't figure out if he fails to see what he is sitting on here or if he just ignores it.

Newcastle United is probably the football world's best example of a sleeping giant. Ashley could and would make a lot more money if he invested in the team.

How on earth does he not see this? I, along with many others, want to know why he is allowed to pocket the TV money.

I doubt very much that it was intended for the likes of Ashley to stash under the mattress.

I want to know why the FA don't take action against him for undermining the domestic cups.

It's bad enough that his new puppet, Lee Charnley, has publicly stated that the club has no interest in the cups, but when they laughably claim players are injured, it is one kick in the teeth too many for us. …
