GARY MILLS has set Gateshead a target of winning at least 13 of their last 20 league games of the season.

The Tynesiders have dropped to 12th in Vanarama Premier, after just one victory in their last eight league outings.

But they take on sixth-placed Woking at the International Stadium tonight six points behind Kidderminster Harriers - who occupy the last play-off position - with three games in hand.

And having been eliminated from the FA Cup third round at West Brom on Saturday, manager Mills is keen to see his saturday, manager Mills is keen to see his side re-focus their efforts on promotion.

"I thought we were absolutely excellent "I thought we were absolutely excellent first half (at the Hawthorns), the lads were tremendous," he said.

"Mentally, going 2-0 down just before half-time against a Premier League side was just too much.

"But we set out to do three things (this season - win promotion and the FA Trophy, and reach the FA Cup third round) and we've achieved one of them so far.

"We've got to go and achieve the other two now, that's the only thing I'm looking at and we've got a big week to set ourselves on that path.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge, I'm excited by it. We'd all love a crystal ball and to be able to say, 'Don't worry, we'll make the play-offs',' and be relaxed. But that's not what this job is.

"It's for me to pick the right team and prepare these players mentally to go forward for the remainder of the season, to get us there. …
