Jobs Up for Grabs at Hospital.With Even More to Come

MORE than 100 jobs are up for grabs at the new Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital which is due to open this summer.

Catering, portering and security roles are among the posts up for grabs at the East Cramlington site, helping support the running of the facility.

When complete, the hospital will be the first in the country to house A&E consultants 24/7 and a range of specialist consultants seven days a week.

It will treat seriously ill patients from across Northumberland and North Tyneside, enabling them to be seen by the right specialist for their condition quickly in an effort to improve clinical outcomes.

Job candidates interested in finding out more are invited to visit drop-in events later this week, before the deadline for applications of Monday, January 19.

Andrea Stoker, general manager at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, said: "This is a great boost for the area and an excellent opportunity for local people to work at our new Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital which will be the first purpose-built hospital of its kind in the country.

"We would encourage anyone who's interested in the jobs to come along to our open events where staff will be on hand to explain about the roles which will be integral to the running of the hospital and the provision of high quality patient care.
