Mowing Golf Course Is a Fairway Around

FOR Rockhampton's Neil Clarke mowing his grass takes a lot longer than usual.

Four days to be precise.

Neil, 43, has been the greenkeeper for the Capricorn Country Club for the past eight years and is responsible for keeping the course looking its best.

Neil said his favourite part of the job was being in the outdoors every day.

"I really love the job," he said.

"I love being outside rather than sitting in an office all day.

"I work by myself and I get to play a bit of golf on the side."

But when Neil's not playing a few holes with his mates on the green, he's mowing it from top to bottom.

For Neil, a day's work includes eight hours of mowing with a range of different sized mowers for the different lengths of grass that are required on a golf course. …
