Paying the Price for Fuel 'Steal'

CHLOE Mccann pumped 13 litres of unleaded fuel into the tank of her white Subaru and then the 21-year-old drove off without paying.

Mccann appeared in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday where she was charged with one count of stealing and two other charges.

It was October 12, 2014, when Mccann stole $20 worth of fuel from the Caltex, The Oaks, on Yeppoon Rd.

The court heard Mccann's number plate was noted while at the service station and that she made no attempt to pay for the petrol.

It was also revealed to the court that on December 14, Mccann made a full admission to police about not making the payment for fuel as she believed the female passenger had paid for it.

Mccann also faced two other charges including entering a dwelling with intent at night and possession of a knife in a public place.

At 5.20am on December 14, Mccann was found by police at a Berserker residence in McKean St. …
