ROBELLE Domain in Springfield is set to come alive on Australia Day, with a full day of family friendly activities planned.

The event will start at 9am with a few games of cricket featuring local community leaders and businessman.

Cricket organiser Mark Winter said there would be about eight teams with 16 overs per side.

"Cricket is such an Aussie way of life, so what better way to start of Australia Day with a friendly cricket game," he said.

"We have already organised the teams, which are filled with people from the local community, and we are keen to see their skills.

"But we would like as many people as possible from the community to come on down and cheer on the players from the sidelines."

Following on from the cricket match will be an afternoon of multicultural activities for the second We are One festival, beginning at 2pm.

We are One organiser Luti Kubunameca is hoping to beat the crowd numbers from last year's event. …
