Tough Task to Replace Big Three; Ghosts Look to Recruit Well

THE Grafton Ghosts Rugby League Club is still negotiating with players to replace the "big three" of Ryan Farrell, Aaron Hartmann and Ryan Binge, who will be absent from the blue and white ranks in 2015.

Club publicity officer Joe Kinnane said the trio would take a lot of replacing, even though both Farrell and Hartmann are still involved with the club.

Binge is the only outright loss to the club, moving back to the Lower Clarence Magpies for the coming season.

"Ryan had probably his biggest year last year, leading the club to its first Group 2 premiership," Kinnane said.

But he was realistic about the decisions of both Farrell and Hartmann to retire from the playing field.

"I can remember reading when we signed players like Ryan and Aaron that the Ghosts could look for eight to 10 years of domination," Kinnane said.

"Well, that time is just about up for them."
