Framework Win to Create Up to 80 North Jobs

SOCIAL housing contractor Forrest is expanding into the region in a move set to create up to 80 new jobs.

The Bolton-based business is expanding into Newcastle after being appointed by Anchor under a new long-term agreement for planned works, potentially worth up to PS350m.

Forrest will deliver planned investment works across 15,000 properties run by Anchor, England's largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for the over 55s, across Yorkshire, the North East, North West and Cumbria.

Projects under the framework agreement include roofing, electrical and refurbishment work across the UK for retirement villages, care homes and sheltered schemes.

As a result, Forrest is now recruiting for a number of roles for its Newcastle office, potentially creating 15 to 20 technical and management positions and 50 to 60 operative positions. Apprentice opportunities will also be made.
