Parker Set to Return for Blyth; EVO-STIK PREMIER

DANNY Parker looks set to be handed an extended run in the Blyth Spartans side following Nathan Buddle's move to Carlisle United.

The former Motherwell defender says he is determined to help the Croft Park club "push on". Blyth are 15th in Evo-Stik Premier, 15 points below the play-off positions with six games in hand on fifth-placed Workington, and travel to Ramsbottom United, who are 16th, today.

Ex-Hartlepool United centre-back Buddle has returned to professional football with the Cumbrians.

That opens the door to Parker, who has been a peripheral figure since suffering a broken jaw near the beginning of the season and finding Buddle and Ryan Hutchinson blocking his way to the first team on his return.
