Valentine's Treat in Store If You Love 'Romantic Comedy' Westovian Theatre COMEDY

ANYONE after an alternative Valentine's party is invited to spend the evening with the Laffalang team who will be getting up to their usual high jinks this week.

A Valentine's comedy love letter will be delivered to the Westovian Theatre in Ocean Road, South Shields, on Thursday and Friday, February 12 and 13.

It will be the fourth Laffalang and follows the Christmas show in December when the Laffalang team tickled the funny bones of 400 people.

The sketch comedy extravaganza will feature 13 new, specially-written sketches by playwright Ed Waugh, linked by top Northeast comedian Steffen Peddie.

The Laffalang team of Bob Stott, Rosie Ramsey, Paul Dunn, Vanessa Karon, Stephen Sullivan and Craig Richardson will perform the Valentine-related sketches that include Widow Twanky singing Lili Marlene to the Hunchback of Notre Dame and Geordie: The Musical, while the Alnwick Radio Stage Ensemble tackle a Wuthering Heights mash-up.

Gareth Hunter, of Ion Productions, who also directs the show, said: "As it's also near Pancake Day, we'll be Talking Crepe, which sums up the fun of Laffalang. …
