New Jobs Hinge on Deal; National Retail Giant Seeks Local Franchisee to Open Grafton Store

NEW employment opportunities could be on their way to the Clarence Valley, but there is a catch.

Retail giant Hairhouse Warehouse has expressed its interest in starting a franchise store in Grafton, which could create an extra 12 jobs in the region, as long as they can find a local franchisee.

Franchise development manager Peter Fiasco said despite being a national brand, the company wanted each of their businesses to be essentially locally owned and operated.

A location in Grafton Shoppingworld has already been identified as a suitable location, and Mr Fiasco said representatives would be visiting the potential future site soon.

"The only way we'll do it is if we actually have a local franchisee," he said.

"What that means for potential owners is that they would be able to get exposure to great deals and the big brand name but really it's a local operator.

"We would love to have interested people we can talk to there. …
