THE financial and related professional services industry is continuing its strong recovery, with total employment in London hitting a record high of 709,500 at the end of last year, according to the latest edition of THECITYUK's London Employment Survey.

Graduate recruitment is also surging ahead, with the Association of Graduate Recruiters forecasting a 11.9 per cent rise in graduate vacancies this year -- and once again it is the financial sector that is attracting a significant number of recruits, with accountancy and professional services hiring more than one in five graduates last year.
