RUGBY LEAGUE: The Warwick Cowboys will have a Calcutta tonight at the Condamine Sports Club on the first try-scorer in the Barrett Shield tomorrow night against Wattles at Father Ranger Oval.

The players will be presented with their new-look match jerseys at the Calcutta.

A-grade assistant coach Mark Sullivan has penned his thoughts on the chances of the players crossing the line.

Fans and supporters will bid on jersey numbers with the number of the players deemed most likely to score the first try expected to make the highest price.

There are four games on Barrett Shield day starting at 2.30pm. One Cowboys game is against the Millmerran Clive Berghofer Cup team (C-grade) and three against Wattles.

Raffles at Condamine Sports Club at 6.30pm tonight, Calcutta at 7.30pm.

TEAM:

No. 1 Ryan McIvor (nickname Pants): Former club captain.

Looked good in first game back from a spell.

Found space on several occasions against Aspley. One to watch.

No. 2 Braydon Wilson (Merrin): Played for Pittsworth Danes before moving to Warwick.

Impressive in first start last week crossing for three tries.

Fast and early favourite for first try in Barrett Shield.

No. 3 Matt West (Westie): First run back from a spell last week and played the full 80 minutes.

Should be better for the run. Prolific try-scorer for the Inglewood Roosters until the club went into recess at the start of the 2014 season.

No. 4 Joe Fuimaono (Joey): Found his way across the try-line last week.

Had a good preparation, big, strong and fast.

A lot of early money for Big Joey.

No. 5 Hayden McNicol (Haydo): Can find the tryline, averaged one try a game last season.

Looks good after a big off season and is 10kg heavier than in 2014.

Will score at some stage.

No. 6 Matt Gainey (Pig): Age will not weary him. …
