THE HUNT is on for the best HR and development stories from across the North East as the annual CIPD North East of England HR&D Awards have launched.

As the region's most prestigious HR&D awards, the programme will recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in the field and the positive impact they have on the business.

Delivered in association with The Journal and associate sponsors Nigel Wright, the awards allow companies to share best practice and inspire future practitioners and businesses.

The awards are open to all types of organisations, regardless of size or sector and the winners will be announced on June 11, 2015, at a glamorous awards dinner at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.

Last year's dinner attracted over 370 guests and, this year, Metro Radio stars Steve and Karen will lead the evening, at which 10 awards categories will be presented.

CIPD North East chair, Elouise Leonard Cross, said: "We are delighted to be launching the 2015 awards, working with our associate sponsors Nigel Wright. CIPD has had some major changes over the last 12 months, including a refreshed brand and logo. We were inspired to use this to refresh the North East awards.
