New factory at Grafton

A PRELIMINARY plan is now being prepared for a new factory to be built in Grafton by the Federal Match Co Ltd.

The company's managing director, Mr Hay, will leave Australia in July on an overseas tour during which he will study the latest in match factory building and equipment.

Final plans for the new Grafton plant will be drawn up after his return, probably in October or November.

The existing Federal Match factory in Grafton already accounts for 50 per cent of the company's Australian production.

Advertise Yamba as tourist area

YAMBA, Friday - At the monthly meeting of Yamba Chamber of Commerce, the secretary, Mrs. M. Sullivan, produced a sample of a brochure which she considered would be suitable to advertise Yamba as a tourist resort.

She claimed the time has arrived when Yamba Chamber of Commerce must take some positive step in this direction and not wait for a lead from elsewhere.
