Advice and Trends to Be Shared at Seniors Forum

KEEPING attendees up to date with health, finance and social issues is the aim of this year's seniors forum.

Organised by Bundaberg Regional Council in association with Bundaberg Region Seniors Network, the forum will focus on a range of topics canvassed under the theme, change is in the air.

Council community services spokeswoman Judy Peters said the forum had attracted support from care providers and state and federal government agencies.

"Many seniors can benefit through this forum where the latest trends across a range of issues are fully explained and clearly articulated," Cr Peters said.

"Negotiating your rights is a very important consumer-based presentation that delivers clear information relating to the rights of the consumer, which is an important discussion for seniors.

"Additionally, the latest information on the National Disability Insurance Scheme will be provided as well as an update for seniors regarding the manner in which they deal with their assets. …
