Schoolkids Prove They've Got the Talent to Shine

YOUNGSTERS proved that Teesside has talent when they took to the stage.

Grangetown Primary School hosted its annual Grangetown's Got Talent competition to show off the various talents the schoolchildren have to offer.

In total, more than 35 children and groups took part.

These were then whittled down to eight acts for the final.

And after some tough decisions by the judges - the children at the school - the winners were announced in front of proud parents and talented Teesside musician and previous X Factor hopeful Bre Musiq.

Singer Victoria Yarker, 11, came first after impressing with her rendition of Hero.

She was closely followed by joint runners-up, singer Lyvonne Elcoate and magician Marc Crosby.

Third place was given to The Four Stars - a group of young gymnasts.

Lyndsay Bashford, a teaching assistant at the school who helped to co-ordinate the event, said: "It is something we like to do at the school to show off the many talented kids we have here. …
