RP, ROCKY: Re: Cyclone Marcia, Regardless of what the weather bureau say, you can't just change the English language to suit yourself! So.....I'm going to name my baby Peter but I think I'll spell it p.a.u.l I'm sure that'll be okay, because the weather bureau say so right! And people of some education should know better.

SMS Ed: There has always been two ways to spell Marsha/Marcia and two ways to pronounce Marcia. The English language is constantly evolving. I'm sure Shakespeare would roll over in his grave if he heard you say "that'll be okay".

LB, ROCKY: with quinton bryce leading the domestic violence inquiry will she declare her earnings to her pension so they can ajust her entitlement like other pensioners?

PM, ROCKY: I would back Kev & friends b4 I'd accept any media source or meteorologist's literacy std. regarding the nexus between phonetic inflection and English spelling. I doubt thats any Gen X/Y

SMS Ed: b4? PM, what is the world coming to? Next thing you'll be putting full stops in the middle of your sentences.

Ed: Sorry, we will fix this.

ANON: Let' be real Rockhampton can' even get a direct flight to Sydney . There is no hope for a international airport here for at least 50 years.

DAN, PA: It' good to have the Phantom there in the paper each day.

FRANK D, FRENCHVILLE: How many more times are we going to be asked for suggestions "or the CBD"or to "pgrade the riverbank" like it has not been asked many, many times before?

Then we all act like it's the first time,(especially our local media). Groundhog Day has never been so appropriate. Just get on with it, you already have the suggestions. …
