IT'S the chance for Sunshine Coast builders to shine again.

Entries are now open for the 2015 Master Builders Housing & Construction Awards and with them comes the growing reputation of the region's tradespeople being among Australia's finest.

Regarded as Queensland's most prestigious building awards, Master Builders Sunshine Coast regional director Michael Hopkins said industry participants shouldn't miss the opportunity to enter their projects and gain the recognition they deserve.

The quality of work carried out on the Sunshine Coast has had builders rewarded at a national as well as Queensland level for their work.

Mr Hopkins said the awards program carried a sterling reputation and was designed to celebrate the industry's remarkable achievements, with every award having the potential to transform a winner's business.

"Local builders were also celebrated on the national stage, with Christopher R Smith winning an award for National Luxury Project Homes ($1-$2 million) and Built Qld Pty Ltd winning a national construction award for renovations to the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa."

Master Builders Queensland chief executive officer Grant Galvin said it was no secret it was a very competitive industry and winning a regional or state award was a great way to assist in promoting a business.

"For home or project owners, being able to label your home or project as award-winning, is a fantastic tool to set it apart from the crowd."
