Campdrafting Heads to Allora for Easter

THERE are 800 nominations for the annual Allora and District Campdraft Association event this weekend.

Action will start at 6am today and go to late Easter Sunday.

Riders will travel from as far as southern New South Wales and western Queensland.

The open campdraft will be judged by Michael Hayes from Glenmorgan, a regular at Southern Downs campdrafts.

Ben Seidel will also judge at the weekend. One of the classes will be a restricted open which will a feature event late Saturday.

Some of the Allora association members competing include George Brown and Blake Feltham in juvenile, Clancy Smith, Chris Rickert, Angela Hart, Peter Mutch, Neil Batterham, Megan Batterham, Anne Glass, association president Glenn Evans, Julia Coyte, members of the Hagenbach, Holmes, Daley and Russell families just to name a few.

There will be bareback cut out for Saturday night entertainment.

Admission is free and the Allora Show Society is running the canteen.
