Skipper Graham Ensures It's Bad Friday for Bulldogs

ILL-discipline has cost the Bulldogs the points in a controversial Good Friday clash at ANZ Stadium, captain James Graham giving away a penalty with less than two minutes on the clock to hand South Sydney an 18-17 victory.

Trailing by a point after a Trent Hodkinson field goal, Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds rolled the dice with a long-range field goal attempt of his own, only to have his legs taken out by Graham.

Reynolds, who had earlier tied the scores at 16-all after a successful penalty attempt from 45m, was unable to take the winning kick from right in front, that task handled without problem by Bryson Goodwin.

The Rabbitohs were only in a position to win the game thanks to an eight-point try in the shadows of half-time by hooker Issac Luke.

On the back of domination by its forwards, led by Graham, Aiden Tolman, Josh Jackson, Greg Eastwood and David Klemmer, the Bulldogs had rolled to a 10-pont lead early in the game after tries to Curtis Rona -- his sixth in five games for the club -- and Sam Perritt. …
