I DON'T think Newcastle United players emerged with any credit during the Wear-Tyne derby - or after it.

I can understand players not wanting to mouth o before the game as it gives the opposition a bit more incentive.

Yet to hear that most of the Newcastle players did not stop to speak to journalists, to oer an explanation to fans, was not great.

If I was manager or owner I would not have let them o the pitch at the nal whistle.

I would have made them stay in the middle in the centre circle and listen to Sunderland celebrate a derby win like they had won the FA Cup or the World Cup.
