Interline Brands Uniting 5 Brands into 1; AmSan, CleanSource, JanPak, Trayco and Sexauer Will Become SupplyWorks

Interline Brands announced Monday it was uniting five of its 13 brands into one.

The Jacksonville-based company, which distributes maintenance products, is creating a new brand, SupplyWorks, that will be an agglomeration of the company's AmSan, CleanSource, JanPak, Trayco and Sexauer brands.

In an SEC filing from December, the company announced it had decided to simplify its "brand structure" in order to "increase brand awareness."

CEO Michael J. Grebe said in a prepared statement that the new brand was part the company's strategy of "having one team, one process and one national platform."

The five brands that will be combined are geared toward schools, universities, office buildings, manufacturing buildings and other non-residential customers, according to the SEC filing.

Several of the five brands were purchased by Interline over the past decade. The company bought AmSan in 2006 for $133 million, according to SEC filings. …
