Expo offers everything for the great outdoors

AS WELL as a massive range of leisure vehicles and equipment, the South Queensland Caravan, Camping, Boating and Fishing Expo has activities, displays and presentations to keep the whole family amused. Popular bush cook Ranger Nick will be presenting camp-oven cooking demonstrations. The Shimano Fishing Show's Dave Moss will have the latest range of fishing lures.

The South Queensland Caravan Camping Boating and Fishing Expo will be at Nambour Showgrounds from today until Sunday (Friday and Saturday, from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday, from 9am to 4pm).

Selma at Arthouse Cinema Nambour

THIS biography/drama/history film chronicles the tumultuous three-month period in 1965, when Dr Martin Luther King Jr led a dangerous campaign to secure equal voting rights in the face of violent opposition. The epic march from Selma to Montgomery culminated in President Johnson (Tom Wilkinson) signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965, one of the most significant victories for the civil rights movement.

Selma (M) is on tonight at 6.30pm, tomorrow at 7.30pm, Sunday at 4.30pm and Tuesday at 2.30pm..

Eumundi Centenary of Anzac Ball

THE Centenary of Anzac Ball will be held in the Eumundi School of Arts Hall to pay tribute to more than 80 men who enlisted in the First World War from the area and the 20 who did not return. Dress in your favourite era from 1914 onwards, enjoy the Doo Wop Dolls and Guys bringing songs through various eras and dance to great music from Flash Jack.

Maleny Next Gen ball

MALENY Next Gen is bringing the Glitz and Glam ball to town tomorrow night at the Maleny Showgrounds Pavilion. Dress to impress for the strictly cocktail-style event from 7pm to midnight. Local singer Paul McKenna will be entertaining the audience.

Musical Paws Benefit Concert

THE Sunshine Coast Concert Band will present Musical Paws - a concert to raise funds for Guide Dogs Queensland - at 2pm on Sunday at the Kawana Community Hall in Nanyima St, Buddina. Music director Ken Chadwick has included numbers such as Hound Dog, and music by Elton John.
