EXTRA coaches have been put on to take North Shields FC supporters to Wembley as cup fever grips the town.

The club has organised more buses to take fans to London for the FA Vase final on Saturday, May 9. Around 5,000 supporters are expected to make the trip to the capital and places on the initial coaches arranged by North Shields were snapped up within days.

The game against Glossop North End will be the club's first Wembley appearance since the famous FA Amateur Cup win in 1969.

Russell Wynn, from the club, said: "Initially we put on five coaches and they have all been filled.

"Now, we've put an extra two coaches as there were expressions of interest.

"If they get snapped up fairly quickly we will then look at additional transport as and when based on need.

"What we don't want is a half-full bus. Some fans have already made travel arrangements to London but the majority want the most costeffective way possible. …
