From Creator to One Spark Sponsor; Pratt Guys Benefited from Exposure Last Year for Outdoor Creations

A creator project from last year's One Spark festival was a complete success, and this year, it is coming back as the ultimate One Spark success story.

After experiencing a 60 percent sales growth following One Spark last year, Pratt Guys is finally able to open its outdoor designs storefront.

As a tribute to One Spark it is coming back to One Spark this year as an official sponsor.

Pratt Guys is headed by three brothers: Jason, Derek and Adam Pratt. They design and build custom outdoor living spaces by hand, and are most commonly recognized for their custom designed pergolas. Jason Pratt, who manages the trio's marketing and communications, said that participating in One Spark last year was one of the best decisions they ever made for their company.

"To this day, in our 11 years in business," Pratt said, "the biggest thing that has ever happened to us that has brought us success and brought in the growth of the company has been One Spark 2014."

Because of their success at One Spark last year, Pratt said people in Jacksonville began to make a strong association between Pratt Guys and One Spark.

"When we wear our Pratt Guys shirts around town, we usually hear somebody say, 'Those are the guys from One Spark!'" Pratt said. "Over the past year, our company has almost become synonymous with the One Spark name. We want to keep that going, because we really do believe in what One Spark is doing."

To do that, this year Pratt Guys is graduating from creator to One Spark sponsor. But this sponsorship will be more specialized and personal than money.

"We knew we wanted to be involved with One Spark again this year," Pratt said. "So instead of giving money, because we don't have a lot of money, we agreed that we would build a pergola at all six of their beer stations."

Pratt said the attendees of One Spark last year showed a different kind of appreciation for their work than other events they had gone to, such as home and garden shows. …
