Priory Social Club Lead the Way at the Half-Way Stage; CUE SPORTS

PRIORY Social Club lead the way in the Middlesbrough Monday Night Charity Pool League's Premier Division at the half-way stage of the season.

Priory have had some excellent wins in the last few weeks, most notably their 7-1 demolition of title contenders Jovial Monk 86 a tough 5-3 win over top four team, North Ormesby Institute, and a 6-2 victory over Slaltersgill C. The latter match was closer than the scoreline suggests, with Salty more than holding their own as they shared the first four frames.

Priory's Alan Stevenson just got the better of Owen Harker to win the first frame.

But Salty surged into the lead with wins from Nick Day and man-of-the-match Mitch Wadsworth against Danny Worthy and John Hall, respectively.

Marcus Richardson pulled out a few excellent shots against his former team to defeat Lee Green before Priory went on to take the final four frames courtesy of the efforts of Ricky Smith, John Fagan, Chris Ayton and Steve Woodier.

Saltersgill B are four points behind Priory following decent wins over Red Lion (6-2), Cambridge (6-2), St Mary's A (5-3) and Erimus A (7-1). …
