WHITE OAK TRIP FROM PONTE VEDRA BEACH

Ponte Vedra Beaches' Friends for the Arts hosts a tour of Nassau County's 7,400-acre White Oak conservation facility, starting at 7:30 a.m. April 22, from the Winn-Dixie, 290 Solana Road. The tour of the center for threatened and endangered species is $340 for members and $365 for non-members, and includes visits to the cheetah run, giraffe feeding and other wild animal areas. The tour includes lunch and a facility tour, with a return to Ponte Vedra Beach by 4:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, (904) 280-0614, ext. 205.

HAZARDOUS WASTE RECYCLE EVENT SET FOR SATURDAY

The city hosts its annual Hazardous Waste Clean-Up and Recycle Event 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the city maintenance and utility yard, 1017 S. Fifth St. Glass or plastic bottles, propane tanks, steel or aluminum cans, paper, cardboard, tires (four per household), electronics, appliances and other items can be discarded along over-the-counter medications (no prescriptions). Residents may also dispose of household hazardous waste 9 a.m.-2 p.m. the same day at the Home Depot parking lot, 463785 Florida 200, Yulee. For more, fbfl.us/recycle.

HELP SOUGHT FOR HORSESHOE CRAB SURVEY

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is asking beachgoers to report any horseshoe crab sightings as the critters soon will be congregating to spawn along Northeast Florida sandy beaches and shallow coastal waters. GARDEN CLUB OF FLEMING ISLAND 'CARING FOR CITRUS'

The Garden Club of Fleming Island hosts Mike Barwald from Flying Dragon Citrus Nursery to speak and answer any questions regarding caring for citrus trees in Northeast Florida. The Orange Park Rotary Club presents its annual Gourmet Night 7-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Club Continential, 2143 Astor St,, Orange Park.
